Próteses
Série de trabalhos que trazem Cynthia de volta às suas atividades nas artes plásticas | em 2008.
Com forte influência de suas pesquisas pessoais e seus contatos na World Wide Web, Cynthia cria próteses baseadas em conceitos de inteligência artificial, envelhecimento, imortalidade, futuro e sustentabilidade.
Sua técnica, no entanto, não visa o rigor científico e muito menos a funcionalidade. Cynthia prefere que seus trabalhos despertem a imaginação e o humor no público. Para isto, se utiliza de habilidades técnicas vinculadas à cultura Cyberpunk.
Cynthia apresenta desta série Prostheses as peças Fake Face Recognition System, Chamaeleon Eye e Exoskeleton. Feitos com cápsulas usadas de café Nespresso, Cynthia cria tecidos, mais exatamente malhas metálicas que assumem formas de partes do corpo humano, como próteses.
Porém, todas numa anatomia desconfortável.
Prostheses
Cynthia restarts her fine arts activities with Prostheses in 2008.
Under the influence of personal sci-fi research and her contacts in the World Wide Web, Cynthia creates prostheses based on concepts of artificial intelligence, aging, immortality, future and sustainability.
Her technique, however, is quite far from scientific equipment and real arrangement to use. Cynthia intents to aware imagination and humour on audience. For that, she uses technics linked to the Cyberpunk culture.
With used Nespresso coffee capsules, Cynthia creates an interlaced structure, kinda metallic fabrics, that assumes shapes of human body parts. But all in an uncomfortable anatomy.
